Chair of EKCEP Workforce Investment Board Published in Statewide Magazine

State Rep. Rocky Adkins—who also chairs Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program's (EKCEP) Workforce Investment Board (WIB)—was recently published in the statewide Kentucky Farm Bureau News magazine.

Adkins' article, which was featured in the magazine's "Comment" section, details House Bill 1. The legislation—which was sponsored by Adkins and passed by the Kentucky General Assembly in late August—"will pioneer new frontiers in jobs and technology for Kentucky, while creating opportunities for private companies and state government to be more energy efficient," Adkins wrote.

Adkins serves as the House of Representative's majority floor leader, and represents the 99th House District, encompassing Boyd, Elliott, and Lawrence counties, and a portion of Rowan County.

The full text of Adkins' commentary appears below.
