Request For Proposals Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program, Inc. (EKCEP) is soliciting proposals from companies or organizations interested in contracting to deliver Workforce Investment Act (WIA) services in all or part of the EKCEP service area in eastern Kentucky for the period July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. Services to be delivered to high school youth under this contract include career advising, case management, fiscal services, record keeping, physical service locations, and other related services. The full text and terms of this Request for Proposals (RFP), including a detailed description of the service model to be implemented, are available using the links on this page. Written proposals must be received at the EKCEP office by 4:30 p.m. DST May 27, 2011, to be considered. Prospective bidders may submit questions in writing and receive publicly posted responses on this page until noon DST on May 25, 2011. The required proposal contents and schedule for review of proposals and awarding of contract(s) are detailed in the RFP document. Question and Answer Section Submit any questions about the project to rfp@ekcep.org. Questions will be answered as received and the questions and answers will be archived in this section.
1. Question: Do all expenses, including supplies, insurance, utilities, facility maintenance, audit etc. need to be included in Budget B? • Yes, the portions of these expenses that would be charged to the In-School Youth funding should be included in Budget B.
2. Question: Just to be clear, we do not include items such as work experience, OJT, workshops, occupational skills training, in the budgets. Those will be added as funding permits? • Correct. These services do not need to be included in the budget submitted for this RFP. The amounts at which these services will be funded will be announced later.
