Question and Answer Section

Submit any questions about the project to ekcep@ekcep.org. Questions will be answered as received and the questions and answers will be archived in this section.

• Question: Can you send any drawings for the sign project?

• Answer: The full text of the Request For Bids is available on this page and includes a drawing or picture description.  You may include any suggestions in your bid.

• Question: What is the LED matrix and display area for the Electronic Message Center? The closest pixel pitch we offer is a 35mm but the bid sheet says it can be no larger than 34mm. Do we have your permission to bid 35mm so you can get an apples to apples comparison?

• Answer: The full text of the RFP can be found on this page, including sign and display dimensions. We will review all bids submitted including ones with WatchFire, Daktronics and equivalent LED signs with 35mm pixel pitch.

• Question: I reviewed the full text version off the website but it just shows the cabinet dimensions, not the LED Matrix or display area. The cabinet dimensions listed don’t match up to our standard sizes or Daktronics standard sizes. I just want to make sure you get bids from WatchFire that meet your expectations.

• Answer: If we have not provided specific sign dimensions that fit the WatchFire brand please advise of the closest dimensions available. What can WatchFire provide that is comparable to the RFP?

• Question: Our sign company does not offer the 34mm matrix size specified, but does offer a 35mm matrix size. Is this acceptable?

• Answer: Yes. We will accept the equivalent or slight variations on dimensions and the matrix size specified.
