Small business owners in Eastern Kentucky can learn to do more with digital marketing during the upcoming “Small Business, Smart Marketing” workshop set for Monday, June 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kentucky Career Center JobSight in Hazard, 412 Roy Campbell Drive.
Eastern Kentucky native Jason Falls will host the free, two-hour workshop where he’ll help participants take steps to build and grow their businesses through proven marketing techniques, while also helping them develop a blueprint for success. Click here to register.
A renowned author, speaker, and digital marketing expert, Falls was rated by Forbes magazine as one of the top 10 business leaders to follow on social media. He is also the author of two books and co-founder and partner in the Conversation Research Institute, a social media research firm and think tank in Louisville.
“Small businesses typically don’t have the time, the money, or the staff to dive head-first into digital marketing and social media,” Falls explained. “This workshop was built to show you how to drive business leads using online channels without having to spend a lot of time, money or people to do it. It will be an evening well spent for anyone hoping to grow a business.”
Workshop participants will learn how to harness the power of the internet to perform big marketing on small budgets with a minimal investment of time and staff. Participants will also learn:
- The importance of branding
- How to reach customers in the digital age
- The essentials of lead-generation
- How small businesses can succeed online
The “Small Business, Smart Marketing” workshop is sponsored by BitSource, while presenting sponsors include Shaping Our Appalachian Region (SOAR), Perry County Fiscal Court, Small Business Development Center, and the Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program, Inc. (EKCEP).
“We’re very excited to offer this opportunity to our small business owners in Eastern Kentucky,” said Ian Mooers, Economic and Entrepreneur Liaison for EKCEP. “The topics Jason will cover during this event will help open the doors for anyone wanting to learn how to build their brand online and reach the widest possible audience.”
