EKCEP Seeks Full-Time Accountant

Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program, Inc. seeks a full-time Accountant to oversee accounting and finance functions, as outlined below. This position has limited travel within the region and out-of-area as assignments may dictate. EKCEP’s office is located in Hazard, Ky.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Performing all aspects of accounting/finance in a non-profit org., including:

    • General ledger transactions and reconciliations

    • Entity-wide budgeting

    • Grants & contracts administration

    • Procurement/Purchasing

    • Invoicing and billing

    • Payroll

    • External reporting of financial information

    • Internal controls and risk management

    • Tax planning and compliance                                                                                   

  • Working with federal and state monitors and external auditors to provide requested information and implement suggested improvements.

  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualified applicants should be familiar with federal and state regulations pertaining to grant reporting requirements, budgeting and forecasting, and have technology expertise in systems.

Education & Work Experience: A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required. Prior accounting with a non-profit & experience with WIOA funds are a plus.
